Yucca filamentosa (Adam's needle)

This extremely robust and dramatic plant is native to the Southeastern U.S.Make sure you have it where you want it, because its deep taproot and and spreading habit make it hard to move. The plant is slow-growing but spreads eventually to 3' tall and wide, with flower spikes to 6' in summer. Adam’s needle likes dry to average soil moisture and can handle difficult soil conditions. Give it plenty of sun.
