Teucrium canadense (American germander)

Like other plants in the mint family, this germander can spread to make large colonies. It adapts to different soils and sun or part-shade conditions. 3-foot spikes of light pink bloom in late summer. Unlike other plants in the mint family, it is bitter and not for culinary or herbal use. Hummingbirds, hummingbird moths and long-tongued bees are among its pollinators.
