Rudbeckia triloba (brown-eyed Susan)

This exceedingly pretty short-lived perennial pops up in meadows and other sunny spots, adding cheer to the late summer, feeding butterflies with its nectar and birds with its seeds. Will grow to 4' in a variety of soils.
