Broad-leaved Mountain Mint (or clustered mountain mint) is a clump-forming aromatic perennial that typically grows 3’ tall. From mid to late summer the silver foliage is topped by clusters of small pink flowers. Performs well in bright shade to full sun. This plant is a vigorous grower that spreads quickly by rhizomes. If naturalizing is unwanted, prune roots in spring with a spade to keep clumps from spreading. Mountain mints are extremely valuable plants in the pollinator garden, providing nectar for many species of insect. Deer do not like them.
