This is a tough, hardy and extremely common vine that can be a useful garden plant if given the right place. Virginia creeper will cover a fence, wall or slope. It can be either climbing or trailing depending to the support available to it. It climbs with small suction cups, so can easily scale a wall. Virginia creeper has spectacular scarlet foliage in the fall and its blue berries are eaten by birds. Can grow to 40' high. Sun to shade, medium to moist soil.
