Heliopsis helianthoides (oxeye)

Also called early false sunflower, this is an exceptionally bright and long-blooming plant. It begins producing yellow blooms in July and continues prolifically for the rest of the summer. Oxeye grows to four feet, likes sun or partial shade, and takes soil conditions from somewhat dry to somewhat moist.
