Chasmanthium latifolium (river oats)

A 3-foot warm season, clumping grass with very ornamental seed heads. River oats prefer some shade and moisture, and are good on steep slopes or woodland edges. They reseed and spread readily, and are not recommended for small settings unless you want to cut them down before the seeds ripen.
