Soft grass-like leaves and nodding pink flower clusters in July-August. This 12-18" plant looks best when massed. It will spread gradually by both bulbs and seed if it likes its location. Because all parts of the plant taste like onion, deer will not eat it. However butterflies, bees and hummingbirds all drink its nectar. Give nodding onion full sun to part sun. It is adaptable to a variety of soil conditions.
