Our ecoregional Agastache. This is a vigorous and impressive plant, shooting up to 6' or higher and producing masses of very pale lavender blooms from July through October that provide nectar for many insects. Unlike the more familiar Anise Hyssop, which is a native neighbor, this Agastache's native range includes New York. Give it full sun, average soil and a place where you want something tall. Although it reseeds freely, it does not compete well with other plants over the long term, so you may need to disturb the soil around it if you want to get young plants started.
